Common Rail System

Course Details

As with the Otto cycle engines, diesel engines have undergone a continuous evolution in response to demand for higher performance, lower consumption and, above all, increased hardness of the antipollution standards.

On these aspects especially influences the power system fuel, which has progressed from the mechanical indirect injection per linear pump to the electronic injection systems of the common rail (common rail), through injection by rotary pump, injectors etc.

Regarding the above systems, the common rail injection achieves greater accuracy in the metering of fuel, and the implementation of additional features that optimize the efficiency and responsiveness of the engine under all operating conditions.

The main objectives of this course are:

  • The purpose of this course is to study and understand the Common Rail system in all its aspects:
  • Basic knowledge of the combustion process.
  • Constructive study and operation of the elements that make up the system.
  • Master the processes of diagnosis and repair of its elements.
  • Know the control strategies of the injection.
