Diesel Injection

Course Details

The evolution of diesel engines is the result of the search for greater performance, more comfort during driving, lower fuel consumption and the reduction of pollutant emissions.

In order to achieve these aims, the combustion efficiency and quality have been improved by means of better fuel metering (increase of the injection pressure and a better airflow in the combustion chamber), a more precise injection moment and a lower degree of delay of the mixture inflammation. To do so, the high-pressure fuel supply system and the design of the combustion chamber have been specifically developed.

The objective of this course is:

  • Basic knowledge of the combustion process and the fuels used.
  • Constructive and operational study of the different diesel injection systems.
  • Constructive and operational study of the components of the diesel injection system.
  • Master the diagnostics and repair processes of the components of the different systems.
