DSG Gearbox

Course Details

In 2003 Volkswagen revolutionized the market with its concept of the DSG gearbox. The success of this type of gearbox has been implemented in most VAG Group cars, and as a result, is a technology that must be known by auto repair professionals.

We have developed this course whose main objectives are the following:

  • Know the concept and overall operation of a DSG gearbox technology.
  • Know the architecture of the gear trains and identify the elements that make up each of them.
  • Know the operation and constitution of the devices responsible for the selection of speeds.
  • Identify the gears and synchronizing devices in the Intervene that transmission of torque of each selected gear.
  • Know the management strategies used by the Mechatronic control unit as well as the sensors and actuators that are part of the system.
  • Know the processes that have to be followed for a correct maintenance of said boxes
  • Know the processes of repair and diagnosis of this type of gearboxes.
